Using airspace
- It is prohibited to take off from or land on other areas than an airport.
- If you want to do this you will need an exemption from the province.
- If you are granted the exemption, you are allowed to take off from or land on different areas than an airport.
Flying with a drone
Because of safety reasons, you cannot fly everywhere with a drone. This is prohibited in areas around airports for example. You may fly in the free part of the airspace. This part is not controlled by air traffic control. You can find the rules: https://www.government.nl/topics/drone/question-and-answer/where-can-i-fly-a-drone) for flying a drone on the website of the national government.
Balloons
You usually need permission if you want to release balloons near an airport. Permission may be refused if air traffic can be disrupted. For example if the wind direction influences the speed of the balloons.
